He is the author of many popular books on Windows, including Teach Yourself Windows 2000 Server in 24 Hours (SAMS), Group Policy, Profiles and IntelliMirror (SYBEX), and Windows 2003: Active Directory Administration Essentials.

He is a contributor to Microsoft's online Windows XP Expert Zone and is a frequent contributor to Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine and Windows & .Net Magazine. He has also written for BackOffice Magazine, Windows PRO magazine, Inside Technology Training magazine,  PC Magazine, and Ziff-Davis' / Element K Windows Professional Journals, among others.
